QSR Brands, Malaysia's largest fast food operator, is planning for an initial public offering worth more than $400 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The company is a major operator of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pizza Hut restaurants in Southeast Asia. It owns more than 750 KFC restaurants and around 450 Pizza Hut restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei and Cambodia.
The Petaling Jaya based company has not revealed any details of the IPO, which is expected to come on the Malaysia stock exchange. The brand is majority owned by Johor Corp. with a 51 percent stake.
QSR, which claims to be the only fully integrated food operator, has extensive poultry production and processing facility, as well as baking and sauce production. The company has more than 30,000 employees.
