TNT Mines Ltd - S&P/ASX 200

S&P/ASX 200 (INDEXASX:XJO) dipped 0.67% to 6026 points at about 1.38 pm after a fairly positive start as the US Presidential election contests in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Ohio remained too close to call.

The most attention is on the swing state of Florida and its 29 electoral college votes, where Donald Trump is leading.

Three other critical states - Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina, were also too close to call as turnout across the nation appeared on track to set a modern record.

Most sectors on the ASX have turned negative with financials (-0.96%), energy (-1.17%) and materials (-1.15%) falling the most. Industrials and IT are in positive territory.

Mining heavyweights are down after iron ore prices fell overnight. Fortescue Metals Group (ASX:FMG) slipped 5.18% and Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) was down 1.8%.
